ONGOING CLASSES

WHEEL THROWING
Introductory four week classes are a great way to get started in pottery. Students who wish to continue may extend to a ten week comprehensive class.
Students can start at ANY time with four of these sessions, and do not need to attend classes consecutively.
Class sessions include four 2 hour classes offered weekly, plus use of the studio 4 hours per week for independent practice.

Adult class schedule:
Mondays: 4-6pm
Tuesdays: 2-4pm
Wednesdays: 3-5pm
Thursdays: 11-1pm and 6:30-8:30pm
Fridays: 11-1pm and 4-6pm
Saturdays: 2-4pm
Sundays 2-4pm

Wheel classes for “big kids” and teens, ages10-16, are Monday nights 6:30-8:30pm. Cost is $160 for 6 sessions.
Please call ahead to let us know which class time you want to attend. Limited to 8 students at a time on the wheel.
Students may also use the studio for independent practice on their own without instruction for up to an additional four hours per week.

$165 for a 4 week introductory class - includes a 12.5lbs clay and 16 hours’ independent practice time.
$350 for a 10 week comprehensive class - includes 25lbs clay and 40 hours’ independent practice time.
$25 per each 25 lb. bag of clay is also available for purchase.
Basic pottery tool sets are available at $12 per set.

ONE TIME CLASSES
BOOK YOUR 2 HOUR - 1 TIME CLASS
If you're visiting Ojai or just want to "try out" throwing on the wheel, you may want to take a ONE TIME "PLAY WITH CLAY" workshop. Cost is $55 per person and you'll make up to 5 pieces of pottery, with the option to have our staff at FIRESTICK finish for you and even mail to you after firing your pieces in our kilns.

These classes are limited in size and require advance reservations. Here is the schedule:

If you enjoy your "Play with Clay" workshop experience and want to sign up for a regular student class, we are happy to apply the workshop cost to an extended 4-session or 10-session pottery class.

HAND BUILDING CLASSES
Tuesdays afternoons for adults 2:30-4:30pm with Rosemary
A four week introductory class for adults covers basic hand-building techniques. Learn pinching, coiling, slab building and sculptural techniques. Call for details or to reserve your spot.
$165 for a 4 week introductory class - includes a half bag of clay and 16 hours of independent practice time.
$350 for a 10 week session - includes a full bag of clay and 32 hours practice time.

KIDS HAND BUILDING CLASSES
Hand building classes for kids, ages 5-9, are held Thursdays 4-5:30pm, Fridays 3:30-5pm and Sundays 10-11:30am.
$160 for 6 classes. Call in advance to reserve a space.
